It’s PIZZA FRIDAY! Pizza sales begin during Nutrition and Pizza is $3/slice.

Please return all Library Books today that you are not using! If you need books over the break, please renew them today before the end of the day!

Term 2 Foods students if you haven’t already please pick up your duotang from Mrs. Thiemer in the Foods room at lunch today or it will be recycled.

 Bottle Drive! Please save all of your bottles and cans during spring break! We will be collecting them at the school the week after spring break.

Congratulations to all Music Students for putting on a fine concert yesterday for the grade 5’s, you should be very proud!

PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS – Wednesday, April 12, 2017

Students are welcomed and encouraged to attend the interviews with their parents.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will once again be scheduled by using the online School Appointments scheduler. An instruction sheet for registering and booking your appointment times is attached and will also be posted on our website.

The online appointment bookings will be active for parents to schedule their appointments from:

Thursday, April 6th, 7:00 am until

Tuesday, April 11th, 3:00 pm.

The schedule for interviews will be:

1:30-4:30 pm – Scheduled Interviews.

4:30-5:30 pm – Dinner break.

5:30-7:30 pm – Scheduled Interviews.

EARLY DISMISSAL – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12 – 3 hours.

School is in session for the morning of April 12th. School buses will run 3 hours earlier than usual.

COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER We are running a school-wide fundraiser from now until April 12th, selling cookie dough. If you click on the link below, it will explain how it works. All orders for your student will need to be picked up by you on May 11th, from 3:30-6pm in the multi-purpose room. Please mark your calendars to pick up your orders; we have little freezer space and may have to resort to eating the leftovers… :>:>

GRADE 8 AVID APPLICATION Students interested in applying for AVID for September 2017 please complete the attached AVID application and submit it to the office no later than Friday March 17th. Located on Community page; Parents

HOMEWORK CLUB There will be NO HOMEWORK CLUB until we return from Spring Break. Mrs. Stewart is coaching volleyball during this time. If you would like to stop in after school if you need help, she is always in her room for at least half an hour and she is happy to help you then.

Grade 8 Celebration fee – For our first online payment, we are going to make it available for parents who would like to make payment online. If you have not completed the Consent form, please go to the link above. Costs will be made available after Spring Break. PAC MEETINGS Parents, here is your chance to learn what goes on at Dunsmuir! Join the PAC and Principal, Darren Russell at the PAC meeting. Our meetings begin at 6:30pm. Come out and be involved in your child’s school.  Heritage Fair Meeting at the beginning of lunch today in the Library. There is a new award being offered this year that is sports related! If you have a passion for sports and are interested in sharing that information come to the meeting on Tuesday to learn more!

Leadership 8 will be doing a “trial” hot dog sale tomorrow. Hot dogs will be $2 and will be sold in limited quantity for our first BBQ of the year! Make sure you bring a lunch just in case we run out!
