Unfortunately there has been a delay with our Cookie Dough Delivery! Cookie dough will now arrive on Monday May 15th and can be picked up from 3:30-6pm on Monday in the multipurpose room. You then need to deliver it to the people you sold it to. We do not have freezer space at school, so all cookie dough orders must be picked up Monday afternoon between 3:30-6pm

Friday is PIZZA FRIDAY! Pizza is $3/slice and sales begin at 12:10 in the foods room.

Sports:

Track and Field athletes attending the meet tomorrow at UVIC please make sure you are there by 3:45. There is a very important meeting at lunch today in portable 2, if you want to attend the meet tomorrow you must attend!

Girls Rugby players need to meet Ms. Caldwell outside the gym for a brief meeting during literacy.

Pizza Friday!!! Pizza sales will begin after the nutrition bell in the foods room and pizza is $3/slice.

Beginning Band 6 Students in both classes who are going to festival next Thursday, you have a rehearsal at lunch today. Please arrive quickly after the bell.

Your friends at Royal Bay have an exciting event going on that they want you to take part in! Royal Bay is putting on a 12 hour relay for life on May 27th from 10am to 10pm. Participants will run, walk or crawl around the track with at least one member from each team moving at all times. Teams must have at least 5 people, a theme and a minimum $100 donation to participate. If you are interested in making a team and raising donations for the Canadian Cancer Society please see Mrs. Gibson for more information and sign-up sheets.

Reminder that if you sold cookie dough, the cookie dough pick-up is on May 11th from 3:30-6pm in the multi-purpose room (new open area). Sellers pick up the cookie dough and deliver it to those they sold it to. As we do not have freezer storage in the school for this amount of cookie dough (we sold over 400 buckets), please make sure to add this to your calendar!

DANCE ACADEMY Congratulations to the Dance Academy students on their 9 outstanding performances at Festival this week. Two of our groups have been selected by the adjudicator to perform in the Festival Gala on Monday, May 8 – “Lollipop” (Grade 6), and “7 Nation Army” (Grade 8). This is a HUGE honor and we are very proud of all the Dance Academy students.

COURSE SELECTION FORMS FOR 2017-18 We are still waiting for a few Grade 6 students to hand in the Grade 7 Course Selection form and some Grade 7’s to hand in the Grade 8 Course Selection forms. If your child has not handed these forms into the office, could you please have it done for tomorrow? We have also attached these forms if it was lost. Thank you.

GRADE 8 LEAVING CELEBRATION It’s about that time of year again where we start to plan for our annual Grade 8 Leaving ceremony at Olympic View Golf Course. This year our event will take place on Thursday June 15th. This will be the first opportunity for parents to use the district’s online payment system. GRADE 8 CELEBRATION FEE Our online payment feature will be available for parents who would like to make payment online now until May 31st.
